Benevolence, the disposition or act of willing to do good, is the acme of living fully our humanity. We consider that helping people is a way to go beyond our personal needs and satisfaction and in helping others; we bring a broader dimension to our lives.

We cannot but acknowledge that the life we live is of a ‘schizophrenic’ nature where we are in conflict between who we are and society’s expectations. Our foundations are about love and kindness but our history is about fighting for ‘having’ and ‘keeping’. Our major religions are talking a lot about loving one another but also some take excuse in hurting and even killing others, ‘in the name of God’. We have what Maurice Nicoll would call the ‘Sunday syndrome’ (can also be tailored to ‘Friday syndrome’) where we have people going to a religious practice and partaking to the activities and behaving as if they were ‘only made of love and roses’ and when they leave the place of worship and returning home, start again struggling against our world’s overwhelming multi-layered violence and animal based survival instincts.

Our civilization praises ‘meekness’ and ‘goodness’ but the legacy so far is about wolves devouring the meek and good people in wars and a system were the meek majority is slave to the predatorily minority who controls our planet’s wealth. Sadly, religions confused spiritual and temporal wealth also, so they did not fulfill their tasks about bringing a better world in being, but rather ‘legitimized’ the powers at stake that were monopolistic and conflictual in their dynamics.

We live in the glorification of struggle and fight, exactly the opposite of what religions should foster: linking people and building bridges. Just visit the memorials and cemeteries where innocent people died for the greed of others: They are the lambs being sacrificed on the altar of freedom (where freedom means the right for a minority to use the majority for their own selfish needs). We are raised to literally depend on a paternalistic system that punishes those who dare oppose it and where we are conditioned to replicate in almost pavlovian manner the same top down approach with others around us. We mimic society’s approach in ‘doing good’ and most of the time we bring more havoc than the desired good. Because our education tries to hide this ‘schizophrenic’ attitude towards life, most of the map to our wholeness has been either lost by us or hidden by those who control us.

We praise either qualities in religious education-Being more like this or that-Or we are witness of our defects, the shadows that dwell also inside of us. Rare is the work and labor to try to balance these two antagonistic sides. So we end up trying to ‘be’ the quality and reality calls-in and we are either discouraged or we find ourselves stuck with our defects like mesmerized and looking into a deep abyss, a bottomless pit.

Rare, again, is the attempt to build a solid platform where qualities may root themselves deep in us and the defects are being watched and cared of. When this happens, a creative and powerful dynamic offers the possibility to blend them into our own personal virtue. When this happens, we are born to being and no longer the toy of having and fate. Very few manage this new birth, as it takes courage and consistency when our very lives maintain us stubbornly into fear and futility.

‘Know yourself’ says the hermetic saying. How much do we know ourselves, when everything in our education is to alienate us from our true self? We are told to accept ready-made systems and beliefs and not to question them (and if we do so, we are discouraged to go further and find many obstacles…). The myth of ‘higher knowledge’ is used to mystify us from finding the truth: There is no higher knowledge. It is indeed not high as knowledge doesn’t dwell in the stratosphere or in the stars. It is within us and correct education through intelligent and emulative activities make us ‘ mirror’ in us such knowledge through the experience that leads, when conclusive, to understanding. By making us believe that knowledge comes from outside and is provided by ‘higher powers’, we have lost our independence and the ability to think by ourselves.

One essential faculty in us, intuition has been deemed as ‘not reliable’ and that only reason is to rule in our thinking apparatus. When we reach seven years old, are we not reaching ‘the Age of Reason’? Reason helps us to ‘discriminate’ but doesn’t have another mandate. These ‘higher powers’ have managed to ‘cut’ or ‘disable’ our inner antennas, so that we stay disconnected from our true self and stay obedient donkeys, good enough for carrying out tasks. This faculty, intuition, makes us ‘learn from within’ by mirroring information, so that we may experience in us universal truths. This is the exact opposite of how our education system is organized in its ‘learning from outside’ with authorized ‘specialists’ that make sure the systems strives by making us ‘clones’ filling us with beliefs disguised in truths. Because of that education, we are entangled in our weak opinions, thinking we know things, when we are barely acting like parrots with minimum consciousness of what we are saying. This can be represented as a madhouse where everybody is blindly arguing about empty shells of truths, with its hysteric calls for blood and carnage. Shocking, as we can do better.

People join ‘belief’ systems that are not just confined into where they should belong, religion, new age and spirituality, but also science, psychology and medicine. This is the first time we have a blink of the elephant standing in the room…Real science has lost its independence at the time of the industrial revolution, where scientists were used for the profit of corporations and governments, all eager to keep their power through manipulating our very lives, making us dependent of them, when the reality shows clearly we can manage otherwise. Science has lost its integrity by serving who provides the money to sponsor researches and scientists.

So few are ‘free’ enough to see their work benefit humanity. Nicolas Tesla was literally reduced to silence and his work looted by J.P. Morgan and Edison who served well the powers in place. Because of that, free energy was ‘confiscated’ and replaced by non renewable energy sources like fossil oil and coal. How long it took solar energy, wind energy, water energy to somehow create a momentum but their share is still too little in front of the aforementioned ones that generate huge profits to government and corporations that have no intent to change the current state of things. We need to question the independence of science and the way it is shown to us.

There is something very unscientific in our main stream science…How can we support : Vaccination for laboratory engineered viruses, cures for cancer that don’t cure but kill and are very expensive-chemotherapy, genetically modified organisms that are lethal to our food supply-GMO, pesticides that damage our eco-system, heavy medicalization of the earth population through ‘invented’ psychological diseases-DSM guide book, drugs that keep the young adults disconnected-Ecstasy/heroin/cocaine, etc…? It is a sad list of the failure of science to serve humanity and stand with the people.

So, if the scientific side of our world is poisoned, the non-scientific side is even more suffering from the same intoxication. We see many new age people who substitute themselves to real doctors and offer ‘alternative’ treatments and services to people who suffer and are in real pain or distress. Now, Doctors spend many years learning and practicing their art, when these charlatans spend weeks, weekends, days to be trained in ‘crystallized belief systems’ and they assume that they can replace a trained physician, with years of practice! Yet, another glimpse of the elephant.

All these self declared healers and new age teachers with no legitimate medical training claim to help people, when they don’t have a clue of their own self and have no sustainable balance but strong egos attracted by the taste of power they have on people in weakness, pain and distress. Such is the arrogance of these gurus or ‘occultists’ who with big egos tell you what to do, scaring you, making you depend on them and finally stealing your money using hope as a bait. Hence all the abuses in the grey area of the law, where the victims don’t know how to find reparation and justice. All ‘self declared’ gurus found guilty of sexual abuse, did not know how to control themselves and thus did the opposite of their ‘teachings’.

‘The elephant standing in the room’ that we don’t want to acknowledge because we are too afraid or we have become identified and accustomed to our distress and suffering, represents the repression of our true nature, our true selves. This ‘inconvenient truth and guilt’ will not fade away until we find courage in ourselves to say no to a lethal system that lures us into ‘having’ at the cost of our ‘being’.

We live, indeed, in a dark age where, as we have seen, we are disconnected by all that which should be freeing us, education, and technology. Its chief achievement is to have us confuse darkness for light! Science, religion & spirituality, severely misused, have given birth to a surprising and unholy alliance that enslaves us. Our freedom will come with patient and careful re-connection through continuous improvement of sustainable individuals, co-operating within sustainable communities in  a joyful celebration of Light, Life and Love.

‘Elephant’
by Alexandra Burke
‘You wanna talk, you wanna talk about it
Wanna talk, you wanna talk about it? (eh, eh, eh)
You wanna talk, you wanna talk about it,
Wanna talk, you wanna talk about it? (eh, eh, eh)How you doing?, How was your day?
Small talk, small talk you wanna play?
You getting further, further away
No kiss, no hug, just blankAnd I just can’t figure out,
How it all turned upside down
And when I look at you right now,
It’s strange ’cause…I know something going on with,
That’s going on with you,
I think you should tell me
You’ve got nothing left to lose

Ah, there’s an elephant standing in the room
Ah, though we’re all alone
It’s not just me and you

You wanna talk, you wanna talk about it,
Wanna talk, you wanna talk about it? (eh, eh, eh)
You wanna talk, you wanna talk about it?
There’s an elephant in the room

Oh you wanna, wanna explain?
Well your talk is cheap cheap just say
You say you’re sorry, say you’re to blame
And you promise and you swear you’ll change

And I just can’t figure out,
How it all turned upside down
And when I look at you right now,
It’s strange ’cause…

I know something going on with,
That’s going on with you,
I think you should tell me
You’ve got nothing left to lose

Ah, there’s an elephant standing in the room
Ah, though we’re all alone
It’s not just me and you

You wanna talk, you wanna talk about it,
Wanna talk, you wanna talk about it? (eh, eh, eh)
You wanna talk, you wanna talk about it?
There’s an elephant in the room

And it’s crushing me, there’s no room to breath
Got me backed against the wall back there
And I just can’t see, ’cause it’s blinding me
Coming closer, I can’t relax

You wanna talk, you wanna talk about it
Wanna talk, you wanna talk about it? (eh, eh, eh)
You wanna talk, you wanna talk about it,
Wanna talk, you wanna talk about it? (eh, eh, eh)

There’s an elephant in the room…’
